East End Rock Cottage

Located in the idyllic East End of Ojai, this is an enchanting guesthouse with loft constructed of stones and wood.  Once a "cool house" built with rocks to keep stone fruit at a cool temperature for the farm circa 1889, this is an exceptionally charming cottage with authentic character, transformed with modern amenities.  It shares over an acre with the owners who live in the original farmhouse on site, yet is separate and private.  

The main floor is 400 sq. ft. and it includes a queen-size bed, wood stove, a/c split unit, bathroom with shower and clawfoot tub, a vintage dining room set with seating for four, wardrobe closet, a full kitchen with gas stove.  There are wood floors with exquisite mid-eastern tribal rugs, 100% cotton bedding and art by Ojai artists.  The large wood-encased windows make it a bright, light-filled space during the day.  

Upstairs there is a 150 sq. ft. loft with a single bed and a double futon. There is a carport for one-car parking adjacent to the cottage, and extra off-street parking on the site. Two persons are allowed, yet couples visiting their children at local schools are allowed to have their children stay in the loft when they visit.
